Build Resilient Landscapes, Honouring Natural Prairie Beauty and Diversity
Whether you work on large-scale land reclamation, private landscaping, or urban green spaces, we provide native prairie plants for sustainable designs that draw on the natural heritage of the Northern Plains Region.
“The grasslands of the Great Plains tug at our senses, challenging us to overcome our limitations as mere humans. On one hand, the landscape calls us to enlarge our horizons and soar across its spacious expanse. But on the other hand, the prairie seduces us with details, quietly drawing our attention to the little things that matter in this big, round world."
— Candace Savage, Prairie: A Natural History of the Heart of North America (2004).
Who We Are
A Plant Supplier Embracing Native Flora for Sustainable Landscapes
Great Plains Flora is a local supplier of native plants that we admire and celebrate. The plants are grown right here at Lakeshore Tree Farms, Saskatoon. Located near the Northern limit of the stunning Great Plains ecoregion, we focus on prairie grasslands and parkland fringe plants.
As a trusted family business for nearly a century, we are a large-scale producer that can supply high volumes of native plants to meet rising commercial demand in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.
